About
I'm Russ Kefauver. I've spent more than twenty years as a financial advisor, working with families and retirees who want a plan, not a prediction.
This is where I write plainly about markets, money, and the part almost nobody talks about: keeping your head when it counts. Most of what determines whether people reach their goals isn't the market. It's behavior, what they do, or don't do, in the moments that test a long-term plan. That's what I care about, and that's mostly what I write about here.
You can expect new posts here fairly regularly. They're meant to be useful, not urgent, things worth thinking about, not reasons to react.
The Memo
Separate from these posts, I write The Memo, a short email note I send only when there's something genuinely worth saying. No schedule, no filler, no spam. It goes straight to your inbox and isn't published here. If that's the kind of thing you'd like to receive, you can subscribe.
What you won't find here
Predictions. Stock tips. Reasons to panic or pile in. The whole point of good advice is to help you avoid the big, avoidable mistakes, not to chase the next one. If you're looking for someone to tell you what's hot this quarter, I'm not your guy, and I'd gently suggest being careful with anyone who is.
If you'd like to work together
